Triangle Chair
In this series of experimental chairs I explored different ways to support and transfer weight. Triangle and Zigzag chair deal specifically with the potentials of mitered connections and ways to reinforce them. The last chair was inspired by Alvar Aalto’s bent wood chair and explores the potentials of wood lamination and digital fabrication. Along with the technical considerations, this series also emphasizes the expressive nature of the different woods used.
The Triangle Chair is made to stack both vertically and horizontally. It can aggregate to become a long bench, a table, or a sculpture.
